The Bay Area Eye Institute understands that there are many ophthalmologists and optometrists in the Tampa bay area to choose from.

Dr. Berger’s practice focuses on patient satisfaction. The philosophy is to put the patient first, provide physical and emotional comfort, and strive for the highest care possible. Your time and comfort are paramount.  Dr. Berger feels that patient education is an important aspect of your treatment and will take the time to explain your ocular condition.

Our office employs state of the art technology for analyzing the cornea and calculating intraocular lenses used in cataract surgery. Dr. Berger utilizes state of the art surgical techniques and technology for cataract (small incision, no injection, no suture) cornea transplant (penetrating keratoplasty and minimal suture rapid rehabilitation DSAEK) and pterygium surgery (amniotic membrane transplant and mitomycin).

Dr. Berger also offers astigmatic and presbyopic correcting intraocular lenses (Tecnis^® and Crystalens^©) which can eliminate the need for glasses following cataract surgery.
